Mr. Benson

Mr. Benson is a piano teacher at Piano & Guitar Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Coe College, Iowa, and a Master of Fine Arts in Video Game Music and Media Composition from the University of Chichester, UK.

Mr. Benson started playing music at the age of 10 and began composing music in 2013. Mr. Benson has a specific passion for writing music for video games.

Mr. Benson has performed in a variety of ensembles, including orchestras, concert bands, jazz ensembles, rock, and wedding bands. In addition to being a composer for both live music and media, he has also worked as an accompanist for many years.

He is passionate about teaching music and believes that learning to play music can have many cognitive benefits while bringing joy and a sense of accomplishment that can last a lifetime.

Mr. Benson enjoys listening to and playing music from all genres, but he favors jazz and music by Sufjan Stevens. He also enjoys reading science fiction novels, playing video games, and eating pasta in any form.
